It looks like the “cash-for-clunkers” program could be making it’s way out of committee and passed into law in a few months. 

Turns out the opponents are facing a legal battle relating to world-trade laws.  In other words, some wanted the program to ONLY work for the Detroit three (actually applying discount to vehicles “manufactured in North America”).

I did a search for “vehicles manufactured in North America” and could not find a list of what vehicles qualified.  Obviously leading auto makers outside of Detroit will benefit as well.

QUESTION – Will this continued delay make consumers say, “I’ll wait until I can get more for my trade.”
