Stand alone, single point dealerships need to unload their inventory…any way they can.

Multi franchise dealers – there is still hope, but you must embrace your OWN brand more then ever.  Customers are out there, but you need to understand what will motivate them to buy a “lame duck” brand – Value.

Build Value and Your Brand

True or False: Successful dealers have good name recognition and a large customer base?  Now you must reinforce what you think is true

Direct mail your customer base, extolling your virtues; long history, great CSI, community service, and alike.  Now stand behind the product.

“If you are looking for value then you need to come talk to us.  We will stand 100% behind these products.  We’ve been in business for __ years, and helped thousands of our neighbors.  Will Saturn be around in 5 years?  No.  Will my dealerships?  Yes.” 

Now that you’ve sent a direct mail piece, do it again, and again if necessary.  Please remember you are not the only one knows that GM and Chrysler are in trouble.  Take this knowledge and let your customer base feel that since you already have a relationship they will be the beneficiaries of this market…but only if they act quickly.
